work was slow today. hung out at neos tonight. neo made brisket. good fuds. mandy showed up after her church class and we hung out till a bit ago. now i’m home and tired.

i’ve developed a bad, deep, cough.

work day tomorrow. i’m ready for teh weekend. can i have my weekend?

9 hours 3 hours 2 years

i went back to work today. the first 9 hour day i’ve worked, in over a week.

it was a long day, not real busy. i’m still not upto 100% and i could tell towards lunch time. i got my doctor to fax me a note that i was under his care while i was off work. they do not really need it, but i was told it’s nice for them to put in a file, just to have on record. i had the bourbon chicken sandwich from subway for lunch. it was tasty. 6 inch on wheat bread with american cheese and a hand full of lettuce.

i need to sit down and do some research for a call center, slash, asset management software for work. i really like altiris, but because it’s call center plug-in is still an infant, it does not have all the features the people i work with want. but that talk is for another time.

i got my new battery in for my laptop today. i’ve got it all charged up, and now i’m doing the first of 3 full discharges to condition the battery for my laptop. the status meter says i have 3 hours of battery life remaining. i’m running the lcd as bright as it will go and the processor as fast as it will go. wow. before, i’d only get about 3 minutes of work out of this power config.

for now, it’s bed time. i did not sleep very well last night, i’m about to fall out of the chair now.

the exile of sickness

still sick. everyone at work told me i did not look good this morning. i left work and got home around 1pm. i slept till 5.

dinner tonight with mandy.

it’s been a week. i’m sick of being sick. i’ve been taking antibiotics regularly since wednesday last week.

sick upgrades

i’m sick of being sick.

i did not go to work wednesday or thursday last week, i’m not looking forward to going back tomorrow.

neo and i spent most of the weekend together, working on our computers and playing video games. he upgraded his case, video card, and power supply. his new case is black with green UV lights. pretty sweet looking. my new case is silver with the blue lights out of my old case. i like it a lot, but it’s a lot brighter since it’s not painted dark blue like i had done to the other case. neo ordered a hard drive, which should be here monday or tuesday. that’s my next upgrade before quakecon, and mandy says that him and i are having a “teck-off”. we just think we’re influencing purchases on each others computers. i don’t have the money to be influenced.

i’ve got two checks to put in the bank tomorrow. i’m planning on getting my cell phone and case rebate in the mail tomorrow also. i’ll take the paperwork to work with me, if i can find it… hmm… if i can find it.

it’s bed time. the swimming pool did not do very well on my sickness tonight. but it was fun. almost worth it.
