http://www.guitartabs.cc/
“Millions of people use the Internet to learn guitar, in one form or another. It appears the NMPA/MPA and their members do not want to support us and help us further our education. To you visitors from outside the USA or UK, can you find your favorite artists’ “official sheet music” at your local music store? Even in the United States and United Kingdom, we often can not. The NMPA/MPA have a choice to make: either they support us as aspiring guitarists, or they choose to alienate their customer base. To date, not one sheet music publisher has contacted this website to either inquire as to our activities or to express interest in any type of dialogue or collaboration whatsoever. All we deserve is a cold, indirect, impersonal threat without any explanation? They should embrace new technologies or else become relics of the old economy. ”
Sincerely,

surely the talented musicians and artists know what has become of their form of expression and dignity. i would be disgusted to know that someone who is making money from my performances, is using the money for such activities.
if the auto industry was like the music, you would not be able to change your own oil. you would not be able to keep up with the maintenance of your vehicle. that fancy in-dash mp3 player you added (because you like music), would be illegal. the $300 rims and $400 exhaust systems would be banned. you would not even be able to paint your car another color. jail time for something as simple as checking the air in your tires.
sounds ridiculous? it is.

i’ve been so busy the past couple of weeks with work, i have not taken the time to update on anything. actually, i’ve been so busy, i have not done anything.
friday night i went to see jeff foxworthy at the nokia live. i’ve never been to nokia, pretty interesting building. jeff foxworthy put on a funny show. heh. i’m such a redneck. :p
this week, my work is hosting a conference in san antonio, so much of the office, including all of the bosses are out. heh… it’ll hopefully be a quiet week. which is great because i’ve had projects on hold.
tonight my whole family got together for dinner. it’s been months since we all got together, at least since i was around anyways. mandy and neo where both here too. we had orange cake with green icing for desert, as requested by ethan. heh.
neo and i went to fry’s today. i added some fans to the merlin server because it’s been really hot under my desk. it keeps my room warm. now, it’s on top of my desk keeping the air flow. now, if i could just produce cool air without my ceiling fan… i might have to look into one of the cool air evaporator things…hmmm.
i guess thats all for tonight though. my back hurts and i’m not ready to sleep. bleh. i just realised i missed the hero’s parade saturday afternoon. :(
by the way, i now have an official anthem. check it out on youtube…

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” - Cereal Killer (Hackers 1995) [1 Corinthians 13:11]

:edit: (09/16/2006) - as noted below, i’m being told “the ex” removed this post from her blog. however, because her blog is now also set to private, and i’m not on her friend list, this will remain here for historical reasons.
piracy is illegal. however, blogs are covered as fair use.
know your rights.
so the ex posted the following on her blog. figured i’d rehost it for historical reasons. quoted for accuracy below.
subject: crazy people are actually sane
Being an optimistic sucks…. thinking people will change sucks i have this horrible trait of thinking there is always good in someone. Unfortunately I am wrong like always. People should never critisize until they know both sides of the story because you never know how different both of them are. Counseling helped me see a lot of things that I was not seeing inside the box. It is nice to have someone outside the box help you catch that glimps of course not people understand that because they all think they are too good to understand that. I just wanted to let him know that i am not mad and finally over the whole bull crap that happened two years ago. Some how it didnt turn out to be what I expected of course it probably turned exactly how he wanted it. Just knowing which buttons to push always gets you the results you want. Damn and i wasnt trying to push any of his buttons.
I dont need any of this drama…. I have to contain my stress so I dont aggitate my ulcer but damn thats to late. its a lost cause all the way around.
whatever ………. I am glad I am out of his life because I would of ended up in a ditch some wheres the way he treated me. Never let me hang out with my friends after graduation him driving like a manic going place to place. him claiming i cheated when we were already broke up him in his mind thinking we were back together I was to scared to say anything because I have been submissive all my life i never knew any better. Him insulting my family just made my relationship worse with my family instead of better see these are to many downs in just one relationship for any person to handle. what do you think am I in the wrong??
heh… hehehehahahaha
good day.
