after moving all weekend and then sorting through stuff most of the week, it was nice when hambone offered a ticket to tuesday nights stars game against the coyotes. on my way home from work, i got a call from my boss, who told me she had two extra tickets to the game and could not go… i turned around and headed back to pick them up. soon after getting them and jumping back in the truck to head home, in order to change and make it to the game in time, i opened up the envelope to take a look at the tickets and parking pass she handed me. i realised the tickets where floor seats and i called mandy and told her she better get a move on, because this was certainly a game we would not want to miss.
mandy and i met up with hambone and sarge at the bus station in irving. i told the guys that if sarge would drive, i’d pay for parking. the game ended up being a shut out, 6 - 0. the best hockey game i’ve ever watched, and not just because we where so close to the ice, but because of the huge brawls they kept having. two of the phoenix guys got ejected from the game for poor conduct, one of those throwing a fit and not going into the box for a penalty of ruffing. in the end, i had blast and mandy and i are still all riled up from the excitement.
tomorrow night hambone is going to help me pick up the couches from eric; then friday, i’m getting off work early to meet time warner to get my cable setup. my apartment will be a comfy place to hang out soon. :)
i don’t think i blogged about this… mandy bought a backup camera for her wedding photography stuff she’s doing. i’ve been carrying the camera around and i finally ordered a 50mm lens. after 2 weeks of back order, it came in and i’ve been enjoying shooting random stuff along my way to and from work.
anyways, ya’ll have a happy thursday. we’ll catch you on the other side of the week.

Warner Brothers has signed a licensing deal with Lego to produce a Lego Batman videogame. The deal comes after the huge success of the LucasArts Lego Star Wars titles, which feature the characters and settings of the Star Wars universe in Lego form.

since everyone else is writing about me in their journals, i figured i better put info up in my own blog as an official press release or something…
lots of things have been going on over the past few weeks. i actually got an apartment and decided not to move in because of internet and tv issues, then got a new apartment and moved in this weekend.
i was looking at getting an apartment in the same town houses mandy lives in, but the office there is under new management. the girls working in the office do not have anything together and totally screwed up how much i was suppose to owe them and told me three different deposit and first month rent prices, then told me someone else got the apartment and told me if i put more money down, they could give the place to me.  …wait, bidding on a leased property is illegal in texas?! any way, in the end, i called their regional office to file a report and left two messages, and never heard back.
so, onto my new apartment. it’s in bedford, on the second floor, but it’s got good view of the parking lot and the swimming pool. mandy and her parents where able to hook me up with a washer and dryer too. the only things i’m lacking are a microwave and a dvd player. my old dvd player was retired before i moved into susans. i’m suppose to get couches from jeff’s friend eric sometime this week. it will be nice to actually see what my apartment will look like when i’m all the way “moved inâ€.
saturday mandy and i went to ikea with my family. i went with a budget of $100, but ended up spending $200 by the time i got all of my stuffs. but, i got a full kitchen worth of pots, pans, silverware, and dishes, and a full bathroom set too. so i consider it worth it all.
remember that apartment i told you i was going to move into? i had gotten reliant energy setup at that place, and paid a deposit. after i decided i was not moving in, and i set up the power at my new place, they where going to credit my account with that deposit. saturday i got a bill in the mail for the amount of my deposit and i called them to ask why. they did not credit my account, they mailed a check to me for the cost… what? …so now, i’m going to have to pay my apartment the cost for power until i can get a deposit together to give to them. stupid people.
anyway, there’s my spill. i think everyone beat me to breaking the news except mandy, but that’s because she’s been at my apartment with no internet all weekend too.

came out to my truck today and noticed the tail gate was down. after walking around my truck i realized both of my tail lights where missing from my truck. someone ganked my tail lights. :(

brad invited me out to watch the hockey game tonight. we road the train over and i did not want to risk taking my camera and getting caught waiting for a train in the rain. besides, every game i’ve gone to, the stars have lost…
not tonight.
the stars one 3 to 2. during the third period, mike modano scored his 500th career goal. all of those being with the dallas stars. the nhl record career goals is 502, so mike will hopefully shatter that record in the games leading up to the play offs.
whenever we got through security before the game, they where handing out the gold clapper toys. the entire night the clapping was a constant thunder in the crowd. now i have to find a way to get mike to sign this souvenir.
