monday my family got together to throw susan an surprize birthday party of sorts. we had planned to do this back when it was her birthday but she went into the hospital early for joshua. it was alot of fun to hang out with the family and just unwind with everyone from the mildly busy weekend.
and now we’re back to work.
my boss is having my ex supervisor move from her desk to an office across the building. the lady has been with the company for quite a few years so it will be unusual for everyone to see her in a different place. it’s the small changes that make my life seem more crazy.
bleh. my friday off, wewt.
p.s. i’m in the market for couches for my apartment. holla if you know where i can get some cheap but nice.

this is my nefew, joshua, in the arms of his dad. born saturday, may 19 at 7lb 5oz.
my sister was induced the friday before but the doctors found that she is part of the 2% of women who do not respond to the drugs. when they went in for a c-section, they found that little josh would not have been able to been born naturally because his cord was tied in a loose knot.

saturday morning i woke up at 3am to get ready to go fishing with the guys. i ran to walmart and picked up some nice swimming shoes and some other stuff i wanted for the trip. the guys met up at my house about 4am and we headed toward lake lewisville to kayak and fish.
after stopping at small pond off of 35E, we decided we where tired of seeing the fish jump and where settled into the kayaks enough to hit the real lake before the boats started showing up for the memorial day weekend. and so, we drove on up to brad’s uncles house to put the kayaks in. the lake was calm till the rain hit and the fish where jumping, but no bites all morning. a small rain shower blew over and the water got a little choppy, then the wind came. the four of us where back in a cove and it took everything we had to get back out to where the trucks where at. by the time we got loaded up and headed back home, we where all due for a nap. mandy met up with us for lunch at razoos; afterwards mandy and i went shopping for stuff for her new office and the guys went home.
while we where out, we dropped off some pictures to rue. mandy shot rue and ryan’s eguagement pictures just a few weeks ago. i had not seen rue in forever. it’s good that her and ryan are on their way together; you can tell rue is really excited. afterwards, we ran over to lee’s to pick up mandy’s flash he borrowed for a wedding shoot. i think him and mandy both have decided their next big purchases should be the nikon sb-800.
mandy and i met back up again at the rave at north east mall to watch pirates 3 with neo, hambone, and sarge. mandy and i went out to benbrook on our way to pick up her brother so he could come see it with us.
we got to the movie about an hour early so we where mostly joking around and carrying on. while mandy was gone to get get a refill on our coke and to grab some candy, the four of us guys spotted my ex, and the other guy walk in. we knew my ex just had a kiddo, but never expected them to show up at the same movie as us.
all in all, the movie was good. i was pushing 20 hours of no sleep so there where times when i had a hard time keeping my eyes open during the slower storyline. i think that the movie was not as comedic as the first two but still very well worth seeing at the theater because of the awesome special effects they always manage to pull off.
anyways, today i’m taking it easy with mandaloo. tomorrow we all have the day off, i’m sure we’ll find some other adventures to be had before we return to work tuesday. ya’ll take care.

today i realised i have not updated this site in longer than i care to look back at. the problem for me is that i’ve had a lack of content that was not the same old song and dance. but now, my life is spicing up a bit.
last week, as my flickr pictures revealed, i went to las vegas for the 2007 hdi annual conference and expo. i really was not over impressed with vegas. it certainly does have it’s extravagance that you see in pictures and movies though. from the hotel that looks like the new york skyline to the hotel that looks like your walking through a mythological greece.
on top of my travels, last week i found myself very sick. sunday night whenever i flew out i told my co-worker who went to the conference with me that i really did not want to go, for fear that i would get worse and have to travel back sicker than i already was. now, over a week later i am not so sick but i still feel kind of crummy.
lately i have found that anytime i sit still, my mind starts racing. and it’s not that my thoughts are directed in a negative direction, nor a positive one. it’s that i find my thoughts looking far into the future and reflecting far into my past. i have found myself playing more and more computer games as a way to keep my mind entertained with stimuli.
mandy put in her two week notice at her current job today. a few weeks ago she was contacted by another company and after going back and forth with the idea of leaving she finally found the decision to move in her ideas for what she wants in the future. the new job really is a great opportunity for her and her career and i am really excited i get a front row seat for it all. i love mandy so much and recently her and i have been talking more and more about our future together. i really can see myself happy spending the rest of our lives together.
anyways, it’s way past my bedtime. this morning i was an hour and a half late to work. i really need to start working on that. i am starting to set small goals and foundations for myself to help move past the rut i’ve seen starting to form recently. i am ready for my career to advance a little further and i’m ready to start living the rest of my life i put down a few years ago when i was lost after my father passed away.
my sister should have her kiddo in the next few weeks. i cannot believe i’m going to have another nephew. i’m getting old.
