go stars!

last week was much longer than it needed to be. friday finally rolled around and i got off work early to go to the fair with mandy, and two of our friends, david and lori.

the fair was fun.  mandy had not been since she was little and we went in with the idea that we’d take our time and just go with the flow.  we walked past the air dog show that just happen to be starting.  other than escaping the afternoon heat for 30 minutes, the dog show was not overly impressive.  however, i now want to teach turco to do a front hand stand as i balance him on one hand…

after the fair, we went to the opening night of the dallas stars.  even though the dallas stars lost the opening night, the game was awesome with a huge fight and the loss only happening with 20 seconds left in the first over time.

today i took it easy.  mandy had a shoot this morning, and david and i went and walked around grapevine lake, pretending to fish some.  i keep looking at different kayaks and boats, trying to decide which direction i want to go.

the stars lost again tonight, they just dont have that ‘thing’ yet this season.  but we’re only 2 games in, and they have a few days before they take on nashville again here at home.
