mr. lackey

getting ready

On February 29, Mandy and I took the leap and where married in Fort Worth. Among friends and relatives, we shared a short ceremony and what turned into a short desert reception. Mandy and I dated for 2 and a half years, 6 months of that engaged.

I feel like I’ve known Mandy my entire life. I have never experienced a person with Mandy’s love and passion for the world around her. She has truly made me a better man in more way’s than I can share in a simple blog post. If you would have walked up to me, and asked me where I would be today, there is no way I could have told you any part of my life today. When I’m with Mandy, I feel like my feet don’t touch the ground.

I remember when I met you, big city boy small town blues
This town seems so small to me well I was used to the blvd
When I saw you I fell so hard now I never want to leave
Girl I’m here forever

We got moon light, all night
Lord I pray on the next star I see tonight never lose this thing we found
Your by my side, I can do without the city lights
I fly so high when you’re around yeah my feet don’t touch the ground

Things I’ve done the places I’ve been just don’t compare to the love I’m in
Its beats all I’ve ever seen
If youd’ve told me a few years back that I’d still be living in the place I’m at
Oh I’d say you’re living in a dream,
Girl I’m here forever

We got moon light, all night
Lord I pray on the next star I see tonight never lose this thing we found
Your by my side, I can do without the city lights
I fly so high when you’re around yeah my feet don’t touch the ground

We got moon light, all night
Lord I pray on the next star I see tonight never lose this thing we found
Your by my side, I can do without the city lights
I fly so high when you’re around yeah my feet don’t touch the ground

I invite you all to visit ChucksandBoots.com for photos and updates on the wedding before and after as well as video’s and information about the wedding ceremony. Eventually, it might become the new home of this blog, but that is all still in the works.

Mandy and I are back from our week in “Mexico”, tomorrow is work. You all take care and God Bless.

stale hotdog buns

this weekend turned out to be quite productive yet more stressfull than i would have liked. saturday morning, mandy’s car died on the way to her mom’s house. hopefully the parts will be cheap and brandon and i can do the work so we’ll skate by for a coupe hundred dollars. :( after getting mandy’s car towed to the house, her dad took her to their house to work on our wedding invitations with her mom. i went and moved the rest of the boxes to the house and then went and picked up new hoses for the washing machine after finding out that the rubber hoses i have now leak.

saturday afternoon, after the hockey game, hambone and david came over and helped me move the washer and dryer to the house. afterwards they hung out playing hockey on hambone’s xbox and i went to benbrook to pick up mandy.  on our way back we stopped off and mailed out all of the wedding invitations. we all eneded up having an adventure at taco cabana then rounded out the evening playing counter strike. sounds exciting right?

sunday mandy and i both slept in. mandy and i spent the morning being lazy and finally decided we needed to get around to lunch and then try to go register. by 9pm we had spent the afternoon registering at crate and barrel and had spent 3 hours registering at target. needless to say, i never got around to taking new pictures of the house or posting our registry information on chucksandboots.com.

and now, we’re back to work. well, most of us, mandy has the day off. :-p

house hunting

mandy and i have been looking at houses for a while now.  we are wanting to get her moved in to a place so that soon after the wedding we can be settled and have the dogs move in when i do.

we found this house we both loved in euless.  mandy put down the earnest money and paid for the inspection.  whenever we got the inspection report back, it pointed out electrical problems and severe roof problems.  after thinking about our options of putting more money out of pocket in to a house, after going through the home loan process anyway, we decided to pass on the house.  mandy is getting her earnest money back because we backed out of the contract in our 10 day option period, but she is out the money for the inspection.

expensive lesson learned on our part.
